This Privacy Policy explains how Karate Tournament App ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
- Account Registration: email, name, password (encrypted)
- Account Type: Admin / Co-Admin / Viewer
- Tournament Data: student names, ages, weights, gender, belt levels, club names
- Biometric Data (Local Only): stored on device only — NOT transmitted to our servers
B. Account Types
1. Admin Account
- Purpose: Full control over tournament management
- Permissions: create/manage tournaments, add/edit/delete students, manage tatamis, add/remove co-admins, delete co-admin accounts, generate/shuffle tournaments, score matches, generate certificates, export data
- Device Usage: multiple devices
- Data Ownership: owns all tournament data
2. Co-Admin Account
- Purpose: Assist admin with tournament operations
- Permissions: view/edit tournament data, add/edit students, score matches, generate certificates, limited by admin's premium status
- Restrictions: Cannot delete own account (only admin can), cannot add/remove co-admins, cannot create tournaments, access controlled by admin
- Device Usage: multiple devices
- Created: only by admin
3. Viewer Account
- Purpose: View live scores only
- Permissions: view live match scores, brackets, student lists (read-only)
- Restrictions: cannot edit data, cannot add students or score
- Device Restriction: one mobile + one desktop at a time — logging in on a second device of the same type auto-logs out the first
- Payment: may require payment to unlock tournament access
C. Automatically Collected
- Device Information: model, OS, identifiers
- Usage Data: anonymous crash reports, feature usage
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the App
- Process tournament logic and match results
- Facilitate payments (Google Play Billing on Play Store; Razorpay on Indus App Store / web)
- Secure your account and prevent fraud
- Communicate updates and support
- Generate certificates and reports
- Enable real-time score viewing

5. Payment Information
Payment processing depends on the platform you use. We do NOT store any payment or banking details.
- Google Play Store: payments handled by Google Play Billing via RevenueCat.
- Indus App Store & Web: payments handled by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets).

- Price: ₹1,000
- Type: Consumable (can be repurchased)
- Features: unlimited students, multiple tatamis, advanced features
6. Data Storage and Security
- Cloud Storage: via Supabase (AWS / Google Cloud infrastructure)
- Security: HTTPS/TLS encryption + Row Level Security (RLS)
- Biometrics: stored locally on device, encrypted
- Passwords: hashed and encrypted — never stored in plaintext
7. Data Retention
- Account Data: retained while account is active
- Tournament Data: retained as long as needed
- Payment Records: retained 7 years as required by law
- Analytics Data: anonymized, retained up to 2 years
Deleting your account: personal data deleted within 30 days, except data required to be retained by law.
8. How We Share Information
We do NOT sell your data. We share information only with:
- Service Providers: Supabase, Google, RevenueCat, Razorpay — for operating the App
- Legal Compliance: if required by law or court order
- Co-Admins: those you explicitly add to your tournament
- Public Display: live scores if you share your tournament URL
9. Your Rights
A. Access and Portability
You can access your data in-app and export tournament data to Excel.
B. Correction
Update your account information in Settings. Edit tournament data directly in the App.
C. Deletion
- Admin: via Security → Delete Account, or email us
- Co-Admin: only admin can delete a co-admin account; co-admins may request deletion via admin or email
- Viewer: via Delete Account button in account menu, or email us
D. Withdraw Consent
You may stop using the App at any time and revoke permissions via device settings.
E. Data Portability
Export your data before deleting your account.
F. Opt-Out of Communications
Contact us at help@pgstudents.com to opt out of non-essential communications.
10. Account Deletion
Admin
Delete in-app via Security → Delete Account, or email us. Admin controls co-admin deletion.
Co-Admin
Co-Admins cannot delete their own account. Only the admin can delete a co-admin account. Co-admins may request deletion from their admin or contact help@pgstudents.com.
Viewer
Use the Delete Account button in the account menu (near Logout).
What Gets Deleted
- Account information
- Tournament data, students, and match results
- Premium status (non-refundable)
What Is Retained
- Anonymized analytics
- Payment records (required by law)
11. Children's Privacy
This App is intended for adult administrators aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Student data entered into the App is managed by the tournament organizer, not by the students themselves. Parents or guardians with concerns should contact the tournament organizer or email help@pgstudents.com.
12. International Data Transfers
Your data may be stored on servers located outside your country. By using the App, you consent to such transfers. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through the data processing agreements of our third-party service providers.
13. Cookies and Tracking
The App does not use cookies. Third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, Razorpay) may use tracking technologies for analytics or fraud prevention per their own privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you by:
- Posting the new policy and updating the Last Updated date
- Sending an email for significant changes
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
